oh her eyes, her eyes

i am sitting comfortably in my hall's computer room. it is so cozy i swear i could study, online and sleep (not eating tho. no food allowed) here if not for the opening hours. best thing is that most of the time i'll be having the room all to myself.

so yes, i had to turn to public computer because mine failed me about a week ago. so much for getting a more expensive laptop (in the words of none other than my dad) but i guess i have one of the rare lan cards which didnt manage to survive that nasty lightning. no worries, it is being repaired under warranty, no less, as we speak and i suppose the blogging will resume to normal frequency (once a week, no more. busy busy busy) soon.

yesterday, i watched wall-e with the lifeguard on home theatre system, a.k.a the widescreen monitor, in this really cozy place with lotsa pillows, soft toys (could open a freaking zoo) and comforter. i call it the comfort of teh room.

anyway, the point is that the lifeguard cried after watching it and i nearly did, but did not. i have to admit it was kinda touching. besides the romance, i feel for that bit on human race being so overly obese beyond hope in the future. and also, i think pixar is trying to depict modern society's boy/girl complex through wall-e and eve. i.e., woman, high tech and knows how to talk. man, doesn't know how to talk properly.

looking forward to more animated movies! halfway through grave of the fireflies at the moment. everyone says it's so sad that you're sure to cry after watching, so i hope the last half an hour won't disappoint me.

next, a lil bit of good news on my school work. i think i scored for my group presentation last week. presenting has never been my forte but i think i've given my best last week, all thanks to my personal presentation coach :)

granted, my group doesnt have the best presenters around (hardworkers nonetheless) but we make it up (or rather, the coach and i) with an awesome flash slides (boo to powerpoint) and my opening which was teh bombz. what i can reveal is that i took in a lot of criticism while preparing for the speech (bleh. self-esteem took a big plunge) and tried to be as dramatic and visual (not graphic) as i can already. at the end of the day, i'm pretty pleased that my tutor acknowledged all that.

let's see. got a new pair of jeans last week. 3 paycheques this month. quiz on coming wednesday. wish me luck.
