the solution
i think the hairband is such a brilliant invention that every girl ought to get one at some point in their lives.
besides potentially solving your hairy problem of a long fringe, it also makes a good piece of accessory to be worn on the neck.
anyway, i skyped with my mom (and the rest of the family woohoo plus the "tagged" brother) yesterday and i noticed that tiny hint of happiness on her upon seeing me with my new piece of accessory.
we conversed in cantonese, and it went something like this: -
Me: i think my hair's too thick to be handled by this (tiny) hairband
Mom: aiya nevermind la, girls wear hairband are like that one.
yeah, i'm glad it makes her happy. it makes me happy too. as in the hairband makes me happy. of course, seeing her so excited bout my virgin mary investment in this particular class of asset makes me happy.
so we're happy and all good ;)
